aims to enhance the communication skills of the

students while exposing them to the discipline of
Business English.
The Module consists of :
 Basic Reading and Writing Styles

 Language expressions used in introducing people comparing giving

instructions and changing a topic

 Language expressions used in making comparisons ordering a sequence

showing several actions together indicating and uncertainty

 Transform dialogues to direct speech with various reporting verbs

 Identify a specific debatable issue and demonstrate arguments to the format of
an argumentative essay.
 Mechanics of writing and writing styles in different business documents
 Presentation skills

 80% attendance compulsory
 Continuous assessments (50 %)
i. Group Presentation - 30%
ii. Group Assignment - 20%

Final examination ( 50%)
