So and such are used for emphasizing an adjective or noun.


They are used more in spoken than written English.

so + adjective/adverb

I was so happy! (so and such are often exclamations)


She always works so hard.

such a + adjective + singular noun

You are such a good singer.

such + adjective + plural/uncountable noun

Tina and Mike are such lovely people!
