 The Overview
 This is the summary of the story including the main character.

 For example, in Iron Man 1 Tony Stark who is a billionaire industrialist and genius
inventor gets kidnapped and gets forced to build a catastrophic weapon. But he
used his intelligence to build a high-tech suit and escapes from the captivity.
The Exposition
 This is known as the beginning of the
story where the characters and the
setting are established.
 The conflict or main problem is also
introduced.
 For example, in Avengers: Endgame
the script carries on from where it left
of in Infinity War and we also see
Hawkeye’s family disappear and tony
and nebula floating in space until they
are saved by Captain Marvel.
 The Rising Action
 This occurs when a series of events build up to the action.
 The main characters are established by the time the rising action of a plot occurs.
 At the same time, events begin to get complicated.
 It is during this part of a story that excitement, tension or crisis is encountered.
 The rising action if Avengers: Infinity War is when earth is forewarned about the
pending attack by Thanos. Followed by The Maw and Cull Obsidian coming down
to fight Tony, Dr. Strange and Spiderman for the time stone.
The Climax
 This is the turning point of the story,
and it is meant to be the moment of
highest interest and emotion.
 The reader/viewer wonders what is
going to happen next.
 The climax in Avengers: Age of
Ultron is when Fury arrives with a
helicarrier, which allows the
Avengers to evacuate the citizens
and attack Ultron.
 The Falling Action
 The falling action occurs right after the climax, when the main problem of the story
and complications resolves.
 The result of actions of the main characters are put forward.
 The last element of a plot which is the resolution or the conclusion.
 It is the end of a story (with either a happy or a tragic ending).
 In Spiderman: No Way Home the falling action is when all of the villains that he had
brought over from different universes are cured in which after Dr. Strange casts a
spell to erase everyone’s memory of those who know spiderman is Peter Parker.
