    1. Radiographs are beneficial for edentulous or partially edentulous clients to detect root tips, impacted teeth, lesions, bone quality and quantity, and embedded objects. 2. The most common radiographic examination for edentulous clients is a full mouth intraoral radiograph using a receptor size of 2, taking 6 anterior and 8 posterior images. 3. For edentulous clients, the receptor must be estimated and visualized since there are no teeth as landmarks. The easiest radiographic method is a panoramic radiograph. Modifications for paralleling and bisecting techniques include increased vertical angles due to shallow ridges.
