LITERATURE
1. A group is composed of 2 members: one as the guesser
and the other one who is only allowed to respond to the
guesser’s question with a yes, no or maybe.
2. Time limit is 2 minutes, the timer starts at once when the
word is revealed.
3. 5 seconds shall be added as penalty to the one responding
other answers than yes, maybe or no.
4. The timer stops when the group guesses the answer.
Penalties shall be added to the end time. The computed end
time will be the final result.
5. The group with the shortest time wins.
6. The categories are as common
as “bagay” (thing), “tao” (person)/
“grupong etniko” (ethnic groups), “lugar”
(place)/ “rehiyon” (region),  “kwentong
bayan” (folktales), “tula” (poetry), and
“epiko” (epics).

Carlos A. Arejola
Carlos A. Arejola writes poetry, drama, essays, and stories for
children in Bikol Central, Filipino, and English. He directs
plays, translates, and has initiated projects advocating for
writing in the vernacular, cultural heritage, and the arts. He is
also an active figure in the Bikol lecture circuit.
His writings in Bikol have appeared in Bangraw;Burak, Balay
Ibalon’s annual anthology; Girok, the landmark Bikol erotica
collection; Sagurong 100 na Kontemporanyong Rawitdawit sa
Manlain-lain na Tataramon Bikol published by De La Salle
University; An Tambobong nin Literaturang Bikolnon
published by Sumaro Bikolnon, Inc. and the literary section of
Bikol Reporter.

SORSOGON CITY – He used to organize the annual Sorsogon Heritage
Lecture Series for more than a decade; this year, he was honored and his works
were highlighted in an afternoon of exposition of his meaningful and relevant
contributions to enrich Sorsogon’s colorful culture and history.
Sorsogon Arts Council (SAC) once again conducted the annual Sorsogon
Heritage Lecture Series in celebration of the Kasanggayahan Festival 2012 as a
fitting honor to the man who started it all.
“Dubbed as PAG-ANI: Si Tootsie Nan Saiyang Mga Gibo (HARVEST: Tootsie
and His Works), this year’s heritage lecture focused on the contributions of the
late Sorsogon Arts Council (SAC) President Reynaldo Jamoralin in the field of
arts, culture and history of Sorsogon,”
