Eden Lake is a 2008 horror film, written and directed by James Watkins It was produced by Christian Colson and Richard Holmes The cinematographer was Christopher Ross, editing was done by Jon Harris and music was composed by David Julyan
Producers Christian Colson and Richard Holmes had (and have gone on to) produce films which gained commercial and critical success. Casting / Actors
Eden Lake stars Kelly Riley as the main character Jenny. She had previously been in successful films such as The Libertine, Mrs Henderson Presents and Pride and Prejudice. It also stars Michael Fassbender, who has gone on to feature in big budget, commercially successful films Inglorious Basterds, 300, XMen; First Class and Jonah Hex

Eden Lake was clearly aimed at an adult audience, due to its disturbing storyline and imagery In the UK and most other countries it was rated 18+ (or the highest rating in the particular country), and in the US it was rated R for Strong brutal violence, pervasive language, some nudity and brief drug use

The film was a relative hit with the public and made 2.6 million worldwide It also got a fantastic reception from film reviewers and critics
