• The process of converting raw cotton into Yarn is know as spinning mill.

• The process of producing yarns from the extracted fibers is called spinning. In this process The
strands of cotton fibers are twisted together to form yarn The yarn is placed on the rings of the
spinning frame and is allowed to pass through several sets of rollers, which are rotating at a
successively higher speed.
SIZING
• Sizing or size is a substance that is applied to, or incorporated into, other materials-especially
papers and textiles-to act as aprotective filler or glaze.Sizing is used inpapermaking and textile
manufacturing to change the absorption and wear characteristics of those materials.
WEAVING
WEAVING

•Weaving is the textile art in which two distinct set of yarns or threads warp and weft are
interlaced with each other at right angles to form a fabric or cloth of desired finish• WARP:
Thread running in length ways in the piece of cloth• WEFT: Thread running horizontally
WEAVING
Machines used for weaving: SULZER,AIRJET (TOYOTA) (PICONEL)
Sulzer uses a projectile to pass the weft across the warp at 240RPM resulting in 100-200meters

of production per day

Airjet uses air to pass the weft across the warp at higher speeds of 800-1200RPM resulting in
400-800 meters of production per day
