 Objectives:
• The purpose of this work book is to express detail working procedure of Transport
section Transmission monitoring and supervision.
• To succeed the objectives of NOC , Transport section and the company (Ethio
Telecom) mission and vision.
• To Standardize the methods and procedures of our NOC environment for efficient
and prompt response, analysis, documentation, ongoing management and
reporting of incidents.
• To Grow up the visibility and communication of incidents according to business
and Ethio operation sections.
• Quickly response and resolving by communicating incidents when they occur.

 Daily Monitoring Activity
 To monitor and control all ethio network infrastructure from EMS /FMS.
Give 1st level maintenance remotely To O&M and FAN Teams.
Create TT to the respective O&M Transport section and On time ( < 30 Min)
Discuss with TMC for Advanced level analysis and give solution together.
remote support for the maintenance activity and control the working process.
 IT infrastructures are ( TT ,FMS,EMS,BULK SMS and other servers )
monitoring.
 During working hours , for any major and Critical incidents, call operators
(SMSC During night time), send bulk SMS, follow the case .
Monitor and give live support for network RFC.
 TT Follow Up and Procedure

Create TT to the respective O&M Transport section and On time ( <


30 Min)

Reassign rejected TTs to the correct region/department based on the


rejection reason.
Call and push O&M for TTs not solved on time.
 Escalate to crisis team TTs which are not closed within one week
RCA
Archiving TTs.
