DEFINITION OF TERMS
• Copywriting – Copywriting is the strategy of creating persuasive content for Marketing and Sales with the
goal of generating conversions and sales. Some examples are emails, websites, advertisements, catalogs and
others. The professional assigned to write and develop the “copy” is the copywriter.
• Web Designer – A web designer creates the layout and design of a website. In simple terms, a website
designer makes a site look good. They use design programs to create visual elements.
• Audience Profile – Audience profiling is the process of describing each audience segment to include
information on demographics, current behaviors, knowledge, values, aspirations and emotions.
• Demographics – the social characteristics and statistics of a human population.
• Psychographics – the study and classification of people according to their attitudes, aspirations, and other
psychological criteria, especially in market research.
• Task assigning happens during the planning stage.
• Copywriting is defined as a process of persuasive writing for marketing and promotional materials.
WEB DESIGNER
• refers to person who decides and creates the aesthetic portion of the website
and its usability.
• The web designer focuses on what the exterior and the interior design of the
website, what ambiance it shares to the target audience, and what is the
website usability interface.
• For the success and effectiveness of the ICT project, a copywriter and
a designer must work together to produce a message.
To develop a successful partnership, they must start with three C’s:

COMMUNICATION
• The designer and the copywriter must get on the same page
through continuous communication and collaboration to create a
concept that achieves the goal of your ICT project.
