Be merciful to me, O God
because of your constant love
Because of your great mercy

So you are right in judging me
you are justified in condemning me

Whoever goes to the Lord for safety,

whoever remains under the protection
of the Almighty, can say to him:
"You are my defender and protector
You are my God; in you I trust"
He will keep you safe from all hidden
 dangers and from all deadly diseases
He will cover you with his wings
you will be safe in his care his
faithfulness will protect and defend you
You need not fear any dangers at night
or sudden attacks during the day
or the plagues that strike in the dark
or the evils that kill in daylight
 A thousand may fall dead beside you
ten thousand all around you
but you will not be harmed
You will look and see how the
wicked are punished
You have made the Lord your defender
the Most High your protector
and so no disaster will strike you
 no violence will come near your home
God will put his angels in charge of you
to protect you wherever you go
They will hold you up with their hands

fierce lions and poisonous snakes
God says, "I will save those who love me
and will protect those who
acknowledge me as Lord
When they call to me, I will answer them
When they are in trouble, I will be with them

Abba Father, hear the prayers of thy people and bring
the hearts of all believers together
in thy praise and thy glory. Heal all divisions among
Christians that we may rejoice in the perfect unity of
thy Church and move
together as one to eternal life in thy kingdom.
 Abba Father, look with love on thy people
and pour out upon us the gifts of
thy Holy Spirit. May we constantly grow
in the love of truth. Let thy Church rise more clearly
as a sign for all the nations that the world may be

Lord Jesus on the night of your Last Supper you
promised to ask your Father to send us another
paraclete, the Spirit of truth, to abide
in us and guide us. After ascending into heaven you
poured out upon your apostles the Spirit of adoption
as children. Send your Spirit, Lord Jesus, upon us,
the same spirit
who rested upon you, anointed you and sent you to
preach the good news to the poor.
Give us the spirit of wisdom and undersanding, the

sinners; be then my refuge and my hope, succour me for
the love of Jesus Christ; stretch forth Thy hand to me,
a poor sinner, who recommends and dedicates myself to
Thee as Thy perpetual servant. I bless and thank God
for having in His Mercy given me this confidence in
Thee, the pledge, as I believe of my eternal salvation.
Alas, too often in past times have I miserably fallen
because I had not recourse to Thee, I know that with
Thy help I shall conquer. I know that Thou will help me

occasion of falling I should cease to call upon Thee and

Mother thou alone canst know
 On Thy face He is not gazing
Nor on us is turned His glance
For His anxious look He fixes
On the Cross and Reed and Lance
To Thy hands His hands are clinging
As a child would cling in fear
Of that vision of the torments
Of His Passion drawing near
 Succour us in clouds of sadness
Hide the light of heaven above
Hope expires and faith scares lingers
And we dare not think we love
In that hour of gloom and peril
Show to us they radiant face
Smiling down from thy loved image
Rays of cheering light and grace
 Succour us when stormy passion
Sudden rise within the heart
Quell the tempest, calm the billows
Peace secure to us impart
Through this life of weary exile
Succour us in every need
And when death shall come to free us
