COURSE OBJECTIVES

 THIS COURSE INTRODUCES TO STUDENTS:


 The course introduces the basic knowledge in the field of
refrigeration and cooling in air-conditioning engineering,
including parts:
 The theoretical basis of energy conversion method.
 The operation principle of the Equipment of refrigeration
systems.
 The characteristics of chillers in air conditioners.
 Calculation and selection of equipment of refrigeration
systems of civil engineering.

GRADING POLICY
EXAMS:
 Mid-term exam: 20% - Problem solving
Final exam: 50% - Problem solving and multiple choice questions
* IN-CLASS AND HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS
 In-class quizzes: 10% – individually
 Simulation project: 20% – individually
BONUS POINTS FOR STUDENTS WHO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE

REQUIREMENT
 Students must attend at least 80% of class lectures. Absent 3
lectures or more – PROHIBITED TO TAKE THE FINAL EXAM.
 Read and master th information given in Course syllabus
(download from Library web site)
 Read lecture notes/slides, textnook and references before
coming to class. Frequently use library resources.
 Take the lecture seriously, actively participate in class activities
proposed by the instructor.
 Submit assigned homeworks and projects in time.
