issue.
Research methodology is specification of methods and procedure for acquiring the information

needed for solving a problem.

It not only refers to the research method but also consider the logic behind the method used in the

context of research study and explain why a particular method or technique issued instead of the
other method so as to justify that the research results are capable of being evaluation by
researchers.
Data Types
Human
A. Secondary Data:
resources slide 3
Any data which has been gathered earlier/ previously by someone, readily available for researcher

for reference is known as Secondary data.

There are various sources of secondary data like Books, Publications, Internet/website, earlier

research reports etc.

B. Primary Data :
 The first-hand information or fresh data collected by researcher specifically for solving research

problem is known as Primary Data.

Human resources slide 3
There are various sources to obtain the primary data as mentioned below.

1) Personnel interview
2) Observation
3) Case study
4) Questionnaire

 The source of primary data is using survey method. A questionnaire is a research device
consisting of a series of questions for the purpose of gathering information from respondents.
 The questionnaire is based on the objectives of the study. The questionnaire will be sent to
respondents and they have to answer the questions on their own.

quantitative data, although qualitative data is sometimes used for descriptive purposes.
It is important to note that in the descriptive research method, the researcher does not control or

manipulate any variables, unlike in experimental research. Instead, the variables are only identified,
observed, and measured.

Sample Size:

 Sample size means the number of respondents

considered for collecting data. The sample size for the
study is 77 respondents.

Sample Method:

 Sampling method is the plan to obtained sample from

population or sampling frame for studying it can be
