Vessel of honour

Thus saith the Lord

• 2Ti 2:20-21  But in a great house there are not only
vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of
earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 
• If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be
a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the
master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 
What made the vessel honourable- purpose
• Jer 22:28  Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol?
is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are
they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land
which they know not?

• Act 9:15-16  But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way:
for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name
before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of
Israel: 
• For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for
my name's sake.

• Dan 5:2  Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine,
commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels
which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the
temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his
princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink
therein.

gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of
stone.

that the excellency of the power may be of God, and
not of us.

How God sees
• Lam 4:2  The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine
gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the
work of the hands of the potter! 
Hallmark of the call
• Joh 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen
you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring
forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that
whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he
may give it you. 
God’s charge
• 1Ch 16:21-22  He suffered no man to do them wrong:
yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, 
• Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets
no harm. 
A room for you
• Mat 19:11-12  But he said unto them, All men cannot
receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 
• For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from
their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs,
which were made eunuchs of men: and there be
eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the
kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it,
let him receive it. 
A promise remain
• Rev 22:17  And the Spirit • Eze 22:30  And I sought
and the bride say, Come. for a man among them,
And let him that heareth that should make up the

But for Jehoshaphat
• 2Ki 3:14  And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts liveth,

You can
• Isa 55:1-3  Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the
waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and
eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and
without price. 
• Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread?
and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken
diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let
your soul delight itself in fatness. 
• Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul
shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with
you, even the sure mercies of David.
