 Taper means gradual reduction in diameter from one parts of workpiece


to another part.

Causes Of Taper
• Insert wear.
• Tail stock unequal tightened.
• Changes in primary and secondary in b/w centre.

In time study ,first we have taken 10 machines for dynamic testing. out of 10 m/c’s ,
4m/c’s will have taper correction and correction of taper requires 30 minutes for
each m/c’s .it will be increase the non value added time.
Action:
Check the primary and secondary in b/w centre for 1month
& note down the reading.
