 Overview
 Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) is a free to use software solution that allows
you to automate your Oracle database migrations from on-premises to Oracle Cloud.
 Supports Oracle Database versions 11.2.0.4, 12.1.0.2, 12.2.0.1, 18c, 19c & 21c
 ZDM version 21c now supports database cross-version migration, thus providing an
in-flight upgrade while migrating to the Oracle Cloud..
 The new ZDM version 21c adds logical migration methods using Data Pump and
Oracle GoldenGate supporting zero downtime migrations to Oracle Database.

Logical Online Migration steps

• Setup source database – Set the necessary parameters and users required for migration.
• Provision Target Autonomous database.
• Configure GoldenGate Hub.
• Configure ZDM Host.
• Create ZDM users / Directories
• Install Oracle Cloud Infrastructure CLI.
• Download and install Zero Downtime Migration
• Generate API keys

• Create RSA keys

• Configure connectivity between ZDM, source and GG Hub.
• Updating IPTables on the source DB server.

• Configure Token Authentication, Credentials and Object Storage.

• Configure Response File.
• Migrate Database using ZDM.
