Super Handling-All Wheel Drive or SH-AWD is a full-time, fully automatic all-wheel drive traction and handling system designed and engineered by Honda Motor Company.
INTRODUC TION
SH-AWD as a system " that provides cornering performance that responds faithfully to driver input, and outstanding vehicle stability.

In a hard turn, of percentage of power distributed to the rear wheels, up to 100% of the rear wheel power can be distributed to the single, outer rear wheel. This action will push the rear around the corner, and helping with steering, reducing understeer and keeping the car balanced and controlled.

Yaw rate sensor Ayaw rate sensoris agyroscopicdevice that measures a vehiclesangular velocityaround its vertical axis. The output is usually in degrees per second or radians per second. Speed sensor Awheel speed sensoror vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is a type oftachometer. It is a sender device used for reading the speed of a vehicle'swheel rotation. It usually consists of a toothed ring and pickup.

Steering Angle sensor The steering angle sensor is mounted on the steering shaft. Lateral G-Force sensor or Accelerometer Anaccelerometeris a device that measuresproper acceleration. This isnot necessarilythe same as the coordinate acceleration (change of velocity of the device in space), but is rather the type of 4/17/12 acceleration associated with the

MotorsIn this we have replaced the axle or differential arrangement which is used In actual cars by mounting motors on each wheel. All the motors used for wheels are 12v dc supply 150 r.p.m. Wheelsrubber tyres of diameter 7cm.the tyres are chosen so that they provide sufficient friction or grip to get requisite handling of the model. Their size provide proper ground clearance to the model.

MICROCONTROLLER A microcontroller is a small computer on a single integrated circuit containing a processor core, memory, and programm.
Microcontrollers are used in automatically controlled products and devices, such as automobile engine control systems, implantable medical devices, remote controls, office machines, appliances, power tools, toys and other embedded systems.able input/output peripherals.

RF MODULE The RF module, as the name suggests, operates at Radio Frequency. The corresponding frequency range varies between 30 kHz & 300 GHz. In this RF system, the digital data is represented as variations in the amplitude of carrier wave.

INTEGRATIONS FOR THE SYSTEM Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) An anti-lock braking system (ABS, from German: Antiblockiersystem) is a safety system that allows the wheels on a motor vehicle to continue interacting tractively with the road surface as directed by driver steering inputs while braking, preventing the wheels from locking up (that is, ceasing rotation) and therefore avoiding skidding.

channel Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Sensors are placed around the vehicle to help detect when a side slip is occurring. These sensors include wheel speed sensors, steering angle sensor, yaw rate sensor and lateral acceleration sensor. The intelligent unit that detects and controls the VSA system to correct a side slip is the VSA-ECU component. This component detects understeers or oversteers by comparing the target yaw rate by the driver with the actual yaw rate of the vehicle.

Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD or EBFD), Electronic brakeforce limitation (EBL) is an automobile brake technology that automatically varies the amount of force applied to each of a vehicle's brakes, based on road conditions, speed, loading, etc. Always coupled with anti-lock braking systems, EBD can apply more or less braking pressure to each wheel in order to maximize stopping power whilst maintaining vehicular control.
