we want to go.

 Inorder to achieve the present and future Goals also the

Institutions have plans.

out the changes an institution needs to make to improve
the level of student achievement, and shows how and when
these changes will be made

 Institutional
planning is a systematic programme
of development and improvement.

 Itis prepared by the educational institution on the

basis of its felt needs and the resources available
or likely to be available.

 Most importantly with a view to have a

continuous improvement of the institution.
INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING
 Itis an activity to keep the institution to continuously grow

 While making institutional planning it is not necessary every

time to generate a charter of demands ( both monetary and
materialistic)

 But it is an activity to bind all the staff members in activities

which can lead to the development of the institution and thus
to development of the staff members serving the institution

 The institutional planning places great importance on (a) time

(b) talent (c) staff (d) available resources

governance, creating learning opportunities, developing
researches, training programmes and any activity which
enables to achieve the objectives of the institution

 Creating and generating work culture, teams,

collaboration and cooperation within the institution
INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING
 These plans can be of (a) short duration (b) long duration

 The activities can be planned and responsibilities can be

assigned if it is a big programme

 The expected frame work of time for various activities

can be planned

 After execution of the programme a mechanism of timely

monitoring can be developed in order to keep a track of
the advancements as well as impediments
INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING
 Adding new dimensions of academic and administrative
activities will make the institution more vibrant

 Creating a good work culture by working together for the

development of the institution will also lead to the
individual development

 When the goals and objectives are achieved by the

institution new challenges can be taken up for making
