• It’s true: age ain’t nothing but a number. • As we celebrate Children's Day today, let us pause for a moment and look back at some of the best young talents we have in our country. The way they have achieved such brilliance so early, is worthy of applause. Gitanjali Rao • Gitanjali a 15-year-old scientist and inventor who also identifies herself as a fencer, dancer, singer, author and baker became the first Kid of the Year on TIME magazine cover in 2020. • Gitanjali is the brain behind six innovations which mainly focuses on social issues and aims to create a social change with the help of science and technology. • Tethys one of the devices developed by her, helps in the detection of hazardous chemicals present in water. • A chrome extension, helps in identifying cyberbullying with the help of AI technology. Tethys Aryan Gulati • Aryan a 17-year-old student, studying in class 12, is the Winner of HRD ministry’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Ideathon. He developed a web-based application called LungAI which helps in detecting the Covid- 19 virus as well as 16 other lung disorders in just three to five seconds. • The acute spread of pandemic encouraged Aryan to come up with a solution and thus the LungAI was developed. • The user has to upload a CT-Scan or an X-Ray on the application and it detects the lung disorders in less than 5 seconds with 90% accuracy. • It also displays further information regarding the treatment in case of Covid-19 and the nearby hospitals treating the patients. Souradeep Sarkar • Souradeep developed an app for the dyslexic children of India who face acute problems in learning and there is little to no help provided for these children. • Souradeep an 8-year-old student started learning coding and came up with an idea to develop an app called DYSXA for the dyslexic children and help them in learning numbers and alphabets. Tilak Mehta • The 15-years-old boy, Tilak Mehta, Founder of Paper n Parcel, is the World’s Youngest Entrepreneur who made a Digital Courier Company by providing One-Day parcel service, with the help of “Mumbai Dabbawala.” • Tilak is no other than any teenager in india. • One day an incident occurred, where Tilak wanted a few books from another end of the city urgently. He couldn’t ask his father as he came home tired after a day’s work. So, Mehta was left with no options but to wait for another day and got amazed when his father told him that the courier charges to deliver the book would cost even more than the book itself! Tilak Mehta • Tilak got the inspiration from The Dabbawallas, whose swiftness and efficiency to deliver food items across the city, which is always on time and is very cheap. Mehta wanted to use this network chain to parcel even the non-food items across the town. • Papers N Parcels is a startup which provides door to door pick-up & delivery services ranging from a pen to all your essential documents. When asked about his young age, Tilak Mehta said it didn’t matter if I am young and still in school. I took it up as a problem that is waiting and wanting to be solved. And after that, there was no turning back! Thank you
