Baroque architecture..
Baroque architecture is the building style of the Baroque era , begun in late
sixteenth century Italy, that took the Roman vocabulary of Renaissance architecture
 and used it in a new rhetorical and theatrical fashion, often to express the triumph of
the Catholic Church and the absolutist state. It was characterized by new
explorations of form, light and shadow and dramatic intensity.

Four types :
• Italian baroque
• English baroque
• French baroque
• Latin baroque

light can be
seen both

outside the
palace.

mainly seen in
baroque
architecture.

-The light reflects in the room through the windows


provided.
-these areas have large gathering spaces.
Abundance of windows

There are a huge number of windows because of the size of the roof for
proper light and ventilation.
It also increases the aeshthetic value of the palace
Sculptures

Sculptures were mainly related to human figures

-There is ornamentation in
the stair case.
-There is a statue over it.
-The bifurgated spiral
staircase is surrounded
with paintings.
