Introduction to Wireless Communications Evolution from 1G to 5G What is 3G ? 4G Wireless System About 5G Comparison between 3G ,4G & 5G Conclusion

Our ultimate goal is to communicate with any type of information with anyone, at anytime, from anywhere. This is possible with the aid of WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY

1G

- * Known as Analog Mobile Phone Systems (AMPS). * It was based on circuit-switched technology and designed for voice, not data.

2G

3G

4G

5G

- * Mostly based on Circuit Switched technology. * These are digital and expand the range of applications to more advanced voice services.

3G

- * Its ability is to unify existing cellular standards such as CDMA, GSM, and TDMA under one umbrella. * It represents the convergence of various 2G wireless telecommunications systems into a single global system .
- * 4G visions take into account installed base and past investments. * Faster data transmission and higher bit rate and bandwidth. - * 5G wireless system is only theory and not real . * 5G is a completed wireless communication with almost no limitation.

4G 5G

Developed in the late 1990s until present day. Japan is the first country having introduced 3G nationally, and in Japan the transition to 3G is being largely completed during 2005/2006 . Transmission speeds from 125kbps to 2Mbps. 3G provides more advanced services like wide-area wireless voice Telephone, video calls and broadband wireless data. It provides advanced multimedia access and global roaming.

Interactive news delivery (voice, video, e-mail, graphics) Voice /High-quality audio Still photography Video Data transmission services File transfer from intranet Multimedia e-mail (graphics, voice, video) Video conferencing Web browser On-line services Time schedules Global Positioning Services/Geographical Information Systems

4G is a research item for next-generation wide-area cellular radio, where you have 1G, 2G, 3G and then 4G [and 5G] 4G is a conceptual framework and a discussion point to address future needs of a high speed wireless network It offer both cellular and broadband multimedia services everywhere Expected to emerged around 2010 2015. 4G should be able to provided very smooth global roaming ubiquitously with lower cost. Theoretically, 4G is set to deliver 100mbps to a roaming mobile device globally, and up to 1Gbps to a stationary device. With this in mind, it allows for video conferencing, streaming picture perfect video (i.e. tele-medicine, tele-geo processing application etc.) 4G will bring almost perfect real world wireless or called WWWW: World Wide Wireless Web

Faster and more reliable 100 Mb/s Lower cost than previous generations Multi-standard wireless system Bluetooth, Wired, Wireless Ad Hoc Networking IPv6 Core OFDM used instead of CDMA Potentially IEEE standard 802.11n Most information is proprietary

5G is a completed wireless communication with almost no limitation; somehow people called it REAL wireless world. It had not yet came in the world but suerly will come soon. If it will come in future it will be - Faster - From a static or mobile device - With more reliable synchronization via the cloud - Easily archivable and searchable
