Introduction

• This thesis examines strengthening strategies for high-rise buildings to enhance structural integrity and safety,
simulations, and experimental data.
• Inadequate strengthening strategies in high-rise buildings can cause structural instability, seismic vulnerability,
reduced wind load resistance, deterioration, aging, non-compliance with codes, limited adaptive reuse,
financial implications, and negative public perception. Adhering to best practices, local codes, and risk
assessments is crucial for safety and longevity.
• Strengthening strategies improve high-rise buildings' structural resilience, safety, compliance, extended service
life, and sustainability.
