Notes SEQUENCE

BCR Bell Control relay

• Normally energised
• Controls the crossing Bells
• If a train is detected in the approach TR1_FL_MDR
drops and BCR drops, activating the bells
• If the test switch or flagman switch is used BCR drops,
activating the bells. A_B_BOOM_UP is used in this
equation is to activate the bells if boom falls due to a
failure.
• The bells can be silenced by the Bell Mute relay
energising, when the A and B booms are proved down.

Gate Control Relay GCR

• Normally Energised
• Controls the Boom Motors.
• If a train is detected in the approach
TR1_FL_MDR(MDR1) drops and GCR drops and the
booms lower after 25 sec. If the TEST_SW or
FLAGMAN_SW is used the GCR drops, and the booms
lower after 25 sec.
• To enforce the complete cycle of demand for booms
down, then booms detected down before the crossing
can recover, contacts of A or B boom down must be
proved.
• If the crossing has recovered and the test switch is
normal, and one of A or B boom down proved GCR
will stick over its own front contact.
• Subsequent changes of state of A or B boom down will
not effect the state of GCR until the MDR or test switch
changes state..

1 FCR Flash Control Relay

• Normally Energised
• When de-energised causes the crossing lamps to flash.
• If there is a train on the approach, or the boom gates
are not proved up, or the test switch, or flagman switch
is active the FCR will de-energise, causing the crossing
lamps to flash.
• A_B_BOOM_UP is used in this equation is to activate
the lamps if boom falls due to a failure.

Notes SEQUENCE

A_BELL_CTRL "A" mast bell control

• Normally De-energised
• If there is a demand from the Bell Control Relay (BCR) de-
energising, A mast bells will sound

B_BELL_CTRL "B" mast bell control

• Normally De-energised
• If there is a demand from the Bell Control Relay (BCR)
de-energising, B mast bells will sound

Notes SEQUENCE

2
A_C_FLASH
• Normally De-energised
• If there is a demand from the Bell Control Relay (BCR) de-
Energising, A mast bells will sound

B_D_FLASH
• Normally de-energised
• Controls the B and D lamps
• If there is a demand to flash from the FCR de-
energising, the B and D lamps will Flash

GCJP Gate Control Timer Repeat
• Normally De-energised
• In IXC module maximum of 20 sec Gate delay can be
given. To achieve remaining 5 sec, this equation has
been created and used in A/B_GATE_CNTRL &
A/B_GATE_STNBY equation.
• Considering future Gate delay adjustment, IXC module
configuration Gate delay set to 16 sec and remaining 9
sec achieved in this equation.

A_GATE_STNBY
• Normally Energised
• Controls the "A" boom gate motors
• If there is a demand from the Gate Control relay
(GCR), 25 seconds later the GCJP energises taking
power off the "A" boom gate motor causing it to lower.

B_GATE_STNBY
• Normally Energised
• Controls the "B" boom gate motors
• If there is a demand from the Gate Control relay
(GCR), 25 seconds later the GCJP energises taking
power off the "B" boom gate motor causing it to lower.

A_GATE_CTRL
• Normally Energised
• Controls the "A" boom gate motors
• If there is a demand from the Gate Control relay
(GCR), 25 seconds later the GCJP energises taking
power off the "A" boom gate motor causing it to lower.

B_GATE_CTRL
• Normally Energised
• Controls the "B" boom gate motors
• If there is a demand from the Gate Control relay
(GCR), 25 seconds later the GCJP energises taking
power off the "B" boom gate motor causing it to lower.

Notes

Bell Mute
• Normally de-energised
• Silences the crossing bells.
• Active if the vital configuration bit BELL_MUTE_C is
set and A and B boom proved in the down position.

Notes

Slot 8 Test Grant

• Normally Energised
• Test Grant allows the lamp voltages to be adjusted and
tested.
• Grants access to Slot 8 test mode if the TR1_FL_MDR
(MDR1) is energised, indicating no train is
approaching.
• Test grant will be revoked if a train approaches the
crossing and the crossing will revert to normal
operation.

Slot 9 Test Grant

• Normally Energised
• Test Grant allows the lamp voltages to be adjusted and
tested.
• Grants access to Slot 9 test mode if the TR1_FL_MDR
(MDR1) is energised, indicating no train is
approaching.
• Test grant will be revoked if a train approaches the
crossing and the crossing will revert to normal
operation.
