FRIDAY – 14TH WEEK
IN ORDINARY TIME
PENITENTIAL RITE
I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and
sisters, that I have greatly
sinned, in my thoughts and in
my words,
in what I have done and in
what I have failed to do,
through my fault,
through my fault,
through my most grievous
fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary
ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and
sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our
God.
May almighty God have mercy
on us, forgive us our sins,
and bring us to everlasting life.

Amen

FRIDAY – 14TH WEEK LITURGY OF THE
IN ORDINARY TIME WORD
FRIDAY – 14TH WEEK FIRST READING
IN ORDINARY TIME
A reading from the
Book of Genesis
46:1-7, 28-30
In those days:
Israel took his journey with all
that he had and came to
Beersheba, and offered
sacrifices to the God of his
father Isaac. And God spoke to
Israel in visions of the night
and said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And
he said, “Here I am.” Then he
said, “I am God, the God of
your father. Do not be afraid
to go down to Egypt, for there
I will make you into a great
nation. I myself will go down
with you to Egypt, and I will
also bring you up again, and
Joseph's hand shall close
your eyes.” Then Jacob set
out from Beersheba. The sons
of Israel carried Jacob their
father, their little ones, and
their wives, in the wagons
that Pharaoh had sent to
carry him. They also took
their livestock and their
goods, which they had
gained in the land of Canaan,
and came into Egypt, Jacob
and all his offspring with
him, his sons, and his sons'
sons with him, his daughters,
and his sons’ daughters. All
his offspring he brought with
him into Egypt. He had sent
Judah ahead of him to Joseph
to show the way before him
in Goshen, and they came
into the land of Goshen. Then
Joseph prepared his chariot
and prepared his chariot and
went up to meet Israel his
father in Goshen. He presented
himself to him and fell on his
neck and wept on his neck a
good while. Israel said to
Joseph, “Now let me die, since
I have seen your face and know
that you are still alive.”
The Word of the Lord

Thanks be to God
FRIDAY – 14TH WEEK RESPONSORIAL
IN ORDINARY TIME PSALM
Response:
From the Lord comes the
salvation of the just.
Trust in the LORD and do
good;
then you will dwell in the
land and safely pasture.
Find your delight in the
LORD,
who grants your heart’s
desire.
Response:
From the Lord comes the
salvation of the just.
The LORD takes note of the
days of the blameless;
their heritage will last
forever.
They shall not be put to
shame in evil days;
in time of famine they shall
have their fill.
Response:
From the Lord comes the
salvation of the just.
But from the LORD comes
the salvation of the just,
their stronghold in time of
distress. The LORD helps
them and rescues them,
rescues and saves them from
the wicked: because they take
refuge in him.
Response:
From the Lord comes the
salvation of the just.

FRIDAY – 14TH WEEK GOSPEL
IN ORDINARY TIME
The Lord be with you.

And with your spirit.

A reading from the
Holy Gospel according to
St. Matthew
10: 16 - 23
Glory to you, O Lord.
A reading from the
Holy Gospel according to
St. Matthew
10: 16 - 23
At that time:
Jesus said to his disciples,
“Behold, I am sending you out
as sheep in the midst of
wolves, so be wise as serpents
and innocent as doves. Beware
of men, for they will deliver
you over to courts and
flog you in their synagogues,
and you will be dragged
before governors and kings
for my sake, to bear witness
before them and the Gentiles.
When they deliver you over,
do not be anxious how you
are to speak or what you are
to say, for what you are to say
will be given to you in that
hour. For it is not you who
speak, but the Spirit of your
Father speaking through you.
Brother will deliver brother
over to death, and the father
his child, and children will
rise against parents and have
them put to death, and you
will be hated by all for my
name's sake. But the one who
endures to the end will be
saved. When they persecute
you in one town, flee to the
next, for truly, I say to you,
you will not have gone
through all the towns of Israel
before the Son of Man comes.
The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Father, who art in
heaven, hallowed be thy
name; thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it
is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily
bread, and forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us
from evil.
Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from
every evil, graciously grant
peace in our days, that, by the
help of your mercy, we may be
always free from sin and safe
from all distress, as we await the
blessed hope and the coming of
our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
For the kingdom,
the power and the glory are
yours
now and for ever.
Lord Jesus Christ, who said
to your Apostles, Peace I leave
you, my peace I give you, look
not on our sins, but on the faith
of your Church, and graciously
grant her peace and unity in
accordance with your will. Who
live and reign for ever and ever.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul, worship His holy
Name.
Sing like never before, O my
soul.
I’ll worship Your holy Name.
The sun comes up, it’s a new
day dawning;
It’s time to sing Your song
again.
Whatever may pass and
whatever lies before me,
Let me be singing when the
evening comes.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul, worship His holy
Name.
Sing like never before, O my
soul.
I’ll worship Your holy Name.
You’re rich in love and
You’re slow to anger,
Your Name is great and Your
heart is kind;
For all Your goodness I will
keep on singing,
Ten thousand reasons for my
heart to find.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul, worship His holy
Name.
Sing like never before, O my
soul.
I’ll worship Your holy Name.
And on that day
when my strength is failing,
The end draws near
and my time has come;
Still, my soul sings
Your praise unending,
Ten thousand years
and then forevermore.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul, worship His holy
Name.
Sing like never before, O my
soul.
I’ll worship Your holy Name.
