DEFINITION OF
TERMS
messianic complex
Messianic Complex, also known as Messiah Complex or Savior Complex, is not an officially recognized
psychological disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). However, it is
a term used colloquially to describe a person who believes they have a special mission, divine purpose, or
extraordinary destiny to save, lead, or otherwise change the world or a specific group of people.

This belief may arise from grandiose delusions or an inflated sense of self-importance, and individuals
with a Messianic Complex may display a range of behaviors, from well-intentioned but misguided actions
to more severe forms of manipulation or control over others. In some cases, this complex can be associated
with mental health conditions such as narcissistic personality disorder, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia,
but it is important to note that not everyone with a Messianic Complex has a diagnosable mental disorder.
SCOPE
AND

limitation
Limitations are factors or constraints that researchers
encounter during the study which may have an impact on the
results, generalizability, or validity of the research findings.
These constraints can be methodological, practical, or
theoretical in nature. Limitations are typically beyond the
control of the researcher and need to be acknowledged in order
to provide a complete and transparent understanding of the
study.

Examples of limitations include:

• Small sample size
• Limited access to data or resources
• Time constraints
• Lack of previous research on the topic
• Researcher bias
DElimitation
Delimitations, on the other hand, are choices or boundaries set
by researchers to define the scope of their study. Delimitations
are intentional decisions made by the researcher to narrow the
focus of the research and exclude certain aspects. By setting
these boundaries, researchers aim to make the study more
manageable and feasible.
Examples of delimitations include:
• Geographical boundaries (e.g., focusing on a specific
country or region)
• Temporal boundaries (e.g., studying a specific time
period)
• Population or sample (e.g., focusing on a specific age
group or demographic)
• Research questions or objectives (e.g., focusing on
specific aspects of a larger topic)

Scope
The scope of a research project refers to the
extent of the study, including the range of
topics, issues, or phenomena that will be
covered, the population or sample being
studied, and the methods used to conduct the
research. It is an important aspect of the
research design, as it helps to ensure that the
study is feasible, manageable, and appropriate
in terms of its goals and objectives.
Delimitation
Delimitations are the intentional choices
made by researchers to narrow the scope of
their study, setting specific boundaries on
what will and will not be included.
Delimitations help to make the research
project more manageable by focusing on a
specific aspect of a larger issue or topic. They
are essential for ensuring that the study
remains focused and relevant while avoiding
unnecessary complications.
IMPACT OF DIGITAL
PAYMENT ON
BUSINESS
PERFORMANCE: A
STUDY OF PUBLIC
Scope:
1. Research Setting: The study will focus on public market vendors in
Lucena City, a developing urban area in the Philippines. The public
market serves as a significant platform for local entrepreneurs and
contributes to the city's economy.
2. Digital Payment Systems: The study will cover various digital
payment systems, including mobile wallets, internet banking, and
contactless payment methods. It will explore the adoption and usage of
these systems by public market vendors in Lucena City.
3. Business Performance: The study will investigate the impact of
digital payment systems on business performance in terms of sales,
profits, market share, customer satisfaction, and other performance
4. Market Competition: The study will consider the level of
competition among public market vendors in Lucena City, as it may
influence the adoption of digital payment systems and their impact
on business performance.

5. Factors Influencing Adoption: The study will identify and analyze

factors that may affect the adoption of digital payment systems
among public market vendors, such as perceived usefulness, ease of
use, trust in technology, access to smartphones or internet
connectivity, and digital literacy.
The scope of this research focuses on the adoption and impact of
digital payment systems among public market vendors in Lucena
City, a developing urban area in the Philippines. The study will
explore various digital payment methods, including mobile wallets,
internet banking, and contactless payments, and examine their
influence on business performance metrics such as sales, profits,
market share, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the research
will consider the competitive landscape within Lucena City's public
market and identify factors that may affect the adoption of digital
payment systems, such as perceived usefulness, ease of use, trust in
technology, access to smartphones or internet connectivity, and
digital literacy. By examining these aspects, the study aims to
provide a comprehensive understanding of how digital payment
