    There are four main types of bones: long bones, short bones, flat bones, and irregular bones. Flat bones including the skull bones, sternum, and ribs are thin and flattened to provide protection and support.     Types of Bones
    1) LONG BONE

    CHARACTERISTICS
    • 3 parts: the middle part is called Diafise, both ends are called Epifise &
    Metafise.

    • Examples : Ulna, Radius,


     Femur, dan Tibia. exceeds breadth
    Length measurement

     Lever eases movement
     Are mostly compact bones.
    2) SHORT BONE
    • The size is short and cuboid.  
    • Examples: Carpal, Tarsal and Colum Vertebrae.

    • Thin

    complex shapes

    CHARACTERISTICS:

    1. Have a unique and


    irregular shape.

    2.Muscles, tendons and


    ligaments attach to it.

    3.Join with other bones.
