A Christian Life
A Christian Life
a Christian Life?
It is when we have
learned to apply the
principles of true
spiritual conviction and
enjoy the comfort in our
daily life.
We love the Lord Jesus and
want to live for Him
Trying to live. . .
It is easy to join
in devotionals, to
quote Bible
promises, to
admire the
magnificence of
the Scriptures.
But we fail to prove
them in the very
places and at the
very times.
However, the Christian life is a
battle and much of the time we
find ourselves on the losing
side.
We don't want to be
hypocrites, but we just
cannot live up to what we
believe.
We think Christian life is a
beautiful thing, but we
can't make it work.
We mingle with people who
are not Christians.
We pass through
experiences that will
naturally worry and
irritate us.
We must mingle with those
who do not love Christ.
We all meet many troubles
and worries in ordinary
week-day life.
GOD doesn't just save us and
then leave us here to be battered
by the devil until we die and
pass on to the next world.
To be sure, the Christian
life is warfare, but we are
on the winning side, not on
the losing side.
The first step
toward a life of
victory is to
know that you
are in Christ and
that Christ is in
you.
(John 15:5)
Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in
the realm of the flesh but
are in the realm of the
Spirit, if indeed the Spirit
of God lives in you.
(Matthew 5:3)
The Christian life is an odd
paradox.
When we are STRONG in
ourselves and full of self-
confidence,
we are really WEAK.
But when we are
WEAK in ourselves but
trusting in the Lord, we
are STRONG.
All God's giants have been weak men
who
did great things for God because they
counted on God's being with them.
Is there an answer to this
problem?
The Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-17
It is in Christian
education settings that
we learn the stories of
the people of God and
become familiar with
God’s teachings through
our study of the Bible.
We learn to recognize God’s call
to us through the stories of the
Bible as well as through the lives
of the Christians who surround
them.
But, Knowing the Bible is not enough.
