NATHAN REBUKES DAVID

Story: Nathan Rebukes David
Once upon a time, there was a king named David.
He was a good king, but one day he made a big
mistake. He saw a beautiful woman named
Bathsheba and wanted her to be his queen, even
though she was already married to a soldier named
Uriah.
Instead of being honest about his
feelings, King David sent Uriah to fight
in a dangerous battle so he could be
with Bathsheba. Uriah died in the battle,
and David married Bathsheba.
God was not happy with what David had done.
He sent a wise man named Nathan to talk to the
king. Nathan didn't just scold David directly.
Instead, he told him a story about a rich man and
a poor man. The rich man took something
precious from the poor man, and this made David
angry.
Nathan then said, "You are that man!
You took Uriah's wife and caused his
death." David felt very sorry and
realized he had done something
wrong.

Remember:
🠶It's not easy to tell the truth,
especially when you're afraid of the
possible consequences when others
find out the truth.
One common fear in telling the
truth is being scolded by parents.

Sometimes, it's easier to tell a lie

or just stay silent. Even though
it's difficult, you still need to
speak the truth, no matter what
