 WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING?
• It refers to the “servers” that are accessed over the internet.
• It means storing, managing, and accessing the data and programs on the remote servers that
are hosted on the internet instead of a computer Hard drive.
• In short we can store, manage and process data on remote servers.
• In simple Cloud computing is using the internet to access someone else’s software running
on someone else’s hardware in someone else’s data center.

 TYPES OF CLOUD
• Public Cloud: Accessible to all
• Private Cloud: Services are accessible within an organization.
• Hybrid Cloud: It consists of features of Public and Private Cloud.
• Community: Services are accessible by a group of organizations.

• SAAS (Software as a service)- End Users.
• Examples: Google Apps, Uber, Gmail, etc.
• Advantage: free ,Easy, Consumer adaptation
• Disadvantage: Limited functionality, no control or access to the underlying technologies.

• PAAS (Platform as a service) –Application Developers.
• Example: AWS Lambda, Microsoft Azure
• Advantages: Good for developers, more control than application, tightly configured.
• Disadvantages: Restricted to what is available and other dependencies.

• IAAS (Infrastructure as a service)
• Example: EC2, Amazon S3
• Advantage: Full control of environment and infrastructure.
• Disadvantage: More costly.

• Cloud computing is impossible if you can not connect to the internet.
• Since you use the internet to connect to both your applications and documents if you do not
have an internet connection you can not access anything, even your own documents.
• When you are offline, Cloud computing simply does not work.
