Biography
Prof. Mr. Dr. Soepomo is a hero Indonesian nationalist who is also known as the architect of
the Constitution 1945. As a first-generation legal expert who in Indonesia, Soepomo also
played a role in it formation of the national legal system to the end
his life
The man who was born on January 22, 1903 in Sukoharjo, Central Java, came from a
Javanese aristocratic family. His grandfather from his father's side was Raden Tumenggung
Reksowardono, the Regent of Anom Sukoharjo at that time. Meanwhile, his maternal
grandfather was Raden Tumenggung Wirjodiprodjo, Regent of Nayak Sragen.
Coming from an aristocratic family, Soepomo was fortunate to have the opportunity to
study at ELS (Europeesche Lagere School), equivalent to an elementary school, in
Boyolali in 1917. In 1920, Soepomo then continued his education at MULO (Meer
Uitgebreid Lagere Onderwijs) located in solo City. He then completed his law education
at the Bataviasche Rechtsschool in Batavia and graduated in 1923. After graduating, he
