Constraints
• Re-supply of record keeping and
reporting forms remains a constraint
within the available HMG resources
• No provision of (Re) training for the
(old and) newly recruited persons
especially at the service delivery points

16
• Difficulties in maintaining Computers.
• Very few programme managers have
responded and acted upon the feedback
provided
• Hospital data still not yet been fully
integrated

• No Carrier ladder for all HMIS Staff

17
Strengths:
• Well Established (7 + years old)
• Wide Coverage ( Health Facilities and
Programs)
• Trained Manpower
• Computerized Information
• Easy Accesibility
• Data bank
Weaknesses:
• Quality of data
• Extent of use
• Sense of ownership
• Sustainiblity
Curreent Issues
1. Cost Effectiveness
2. Reporting Frequency
3. Volume of information
4. Integration : Centre
5. Integration : District
6. Improvement in the quality of data
7. Gender and age disaggregation
8. Gaps (Training information, physical assets etc)
