Keeping Oneself Well-groomed and Attractive
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, you should be able to do the following:

1. Perform grooming on one’s self

2. Practice different grooming customs

3. Enumerate and use different tools used for grooming

4. Apply schedule for grooming


Good Grooming: Meaning and Importance
Good Grooming means being neat, clean and properly dressed.

It also means being healthy.

Good grooming starts with personal cleanliness and good health habits. It can be
attained by doing the following:
a. Taking a bath
b. Caring for the teeth and gums
c. Caring for the hair
d. Eating the right kinds of food
e. Getting sufficient rest and sleep
f. Doing daily exercise
g. Eliminating waste regularly
h. Having correct body posture
A. Taking a Bath
There are three types of bathing:

1. Full Bath

2. Shower

3. Sponge Bath
B. Caring for Teeth and Gums
Clean teeth are good to look at when you smile, laugh or speak.

A good looking person usually has a good set of clean teeth.

Here are the steps in taking care of the teeth and the gums:
C. Caring for the Hair
Your hair is your “crowning glory”.

It can make your face look attractive and pretty when properly cut and arranged.
To have a healthy, shiny and good-looking hair, follow these:
