What is an Engine
Working of An Engine
Four stroke of an Petrol engine

Petrol engine are less

polluting.
Lower NVH.
Lower on maintenance.
Lower Torque.
Relatively runs on Higher
Revolution than Diesel
counterpart.
Working of Diesel Four stroke

Diesel Engines are

Heavy in construction
Diesel engines high on
pollutions.
Runs slower than
petrol counterpart.
Higher torque than
Petrol.
Higher on maintenance

Engine Power
Electric cars . Pros.
They’re easier on the environment.
Electricity is cheaper than gasoline.
Maintenance is less frequent and less
expensive.
They’re very quiet.

Cons.
Most EVs have pretty short ranges
Recharging can take a while
 They’re a large initial investment.
The charging stations are few in
numbers

High Voltage System Vs- Low Voltage System

High range of travel Low range of travel

Equipped with big size vehicles and SUVs Especially used on small vehicles

Focus on long and intercity commute Focus on short and city commute

More power Less power

Powers the Nexon EV/ Hyundai Kona/ MG

Powers the Tigor EV, E20, Mahindra Vibe
Hector
Hybrid cars( Mild and Full Hybrid)
Hybrid vehicles Pros and Cons
Hybrid Cons
•Lower Performance. Some of those
advantages listed earlier in our hybrid cars
pros and cons list equate to lower
performance. ...
•Higher Prices. ...
•Repair Cost. ...
•Demand is High. ...
•Reduced Highway Mileage. ...
•Hybrids Vary Greatly. ...
•Lack of Third Row Hybrids. ...
•Weaker 12-Volt Battery

Fuel Cell technology( Hydrogen car)
Pros: No vehicle emissions other than
water vapor. Fuel economy equivalent to
about twice that of gasoline vehicles.
Hydrogen is abundant, and can be made
from renewable energy.

Cons: This space-age technology is

expensive. Acceptable range requires
extremely-high-pressure, on-board
hydrogen storage. Few places to refuel.
Hydrogen is very expensive to transport
and there is no infrastructure in place yet.
Currently hydrogen fuel is made from
nonrenewable natural gas in a process that
creates enormous CO2 emissions.

The diesel engines are more modified
in terms of fuel injection pump, to
injection pattern, introduction of
emission systems like LNT and SCR.
