Effects of

Changes in
Matter
Solid matter can undergo changes that
directly affect its size, shape, and
appearance without changing its
composition. These changes can be
achieved through cutting, tearing, folding
pounding, hammering, pressing, and
melting.
These processes have something to do
with certain properties of matter like
malleability, ductility, brittleness, and
elasticity.
Wood, for example is a matter that can
be physically changed to make things we
can use.
It can also be3 made into furniture such
as tables, cabinets and chairs.
Bamboo like wood can also be changed
physically.
Paper can also be changed like in an
origami activity. Paper has a property
that can be4 folded, cut, or crumpled. It
can be used as wall décor on houses and
offices.
Plastic is another solid matter that is
soft, its appearance can also be changed.
