JURISPRUDENCE
The science or philosophy of law.
 A system or body of law.
 The study of law and the
principles on which law is based.

 One who is skilled in law in
other words “A JURIST ”.
 Jurisprudence is the eye of the
law.
JURISPRUDENCE
(ISLAMIC CONCEPT)
 Fiqh means understanding
 Fiqh denote the human
interpretation of divine commands
including worship (ibadat),
contractual law (muamalat), criminal
law (tazir and hudud), and personal
law.

Islamic jurisprudence refers to the
study of law in Islam and is usually
defined the knowledge of rights and
duties. Whereas shariah refers divine
law itself.

 In other words , LAW is a body of
rules with reference to human
conduct, established from: Quran and
Sunnah.
 It is practical and physical
demonstration of Allah’s
communications.
PPC
PAKISTAN PENAL CODE (1860)
(MAJMU-AH TA’ZIRAT-E
PAKISTAN)

Punishment of offences committed
within Pakistan.
Every person shall be liable to
punishment under this code.

 It was originally prepared in 1860 on the
behalf of the government of India as a
Indian penal code. After the independence
in 1947, Pakistan inherited the same code
and subsequently after several
amendments by different governments in
it. Pakistan is now a mixture of Islamic
and English LAW.
CIVIL PROCEDURE CODE
1908

DEWANI)
The judicial system is essentially
divided into two types of cases, civil
and criminal. Thus, a study of civil
procedure is basically a study of
procedures that apply in cases that are
not criminal.

It can be conclude that civil procedure
court as a civil law that describes the
formation of civil courts, its
procedure, classification, powers and
discretion of the judges.
CRPC
CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CODE 1898
(MAJMU-AH ZABTA-E-FOJDARI)
It is commonly known as Cr.P.C and
it is the most comprehensive statute
(a written law passed by a legislative
body) of proceedings of criminal
courts in Pakistan.

This law deals with the power of
police and procedure of the court in
criminal cases. In nutshell all criminal
courts work under this act and it has
central position in the Pakistan law
system.
MFLO
MUSLIM FAMILY LAW ORDINANCE

1961
It was enforced w.e.f 15th july 1961.
Main features of the ordinance are as under:-
 Registration of the marriage.

 Dissolution of the marriage.

 Dower.

 Maintenance.

 Arbitration council etc.

ORDINANCE 1979

This ordinance make effective


provisions for regulation of relation
between landlords and tenants and
protect their interest in respect of
rented premises.
QANOON-E-SHAHADAT
ORDER, 1984
 It is a code of rules and laws which
provides guide lines in the field of
evidences, to finish ambiguity in case and
to bring the court at the right conclusion of
justice .
 It also, applies to all judicial proceedings,
e.g.; civil proceedings , criminal
proceedings, etc before any court.
Itcan be concluded that Qanoon-e-
shahadat provides rules, kinds, types
of evidences and the manner of
recording evidences of witnesses as
well as consideration of documents in
evidence, etc.
THE LIMITATION ACT
1908

Object of the law of limitation


 It provides the time period in which
case can be brought in the court of
law. Negligence in institution of suit
with period prescribed, causes the suit
time barred, thus not maintainable in
court of law.
