ABSTRACT:
Data hiding is the art of hiding data for various
purposes such as to maintain private data, secure
confidential data and so on.
In such a way someone cannot known
the presence of a hidden message in
a particular file.
In our project we propose a image
based steganographic method for
hiding data.
The main purpose of steganograpy is to maintain secret
communication between two peoples.
 It generally refers to encoding and decoding. So in this
image steganography project,we will encode the data
into an image file and send it to the receiver.
 The receiver will decode the image
into data.
EXISTING:
 Cryptography and steganography are both methods
used to hide or protect secret data.
 However, they differ in the respect that cryptography
makes the data unreadable, or hides the meaning of
the data, while steganography hides the existence of
the data.
 cryptography is similar to writing a letter in a secret
language: people can read it, but won’t understand
what it means.
 However, the existence of a (probably secret)
message would be obvious to anyone who sees the
letter, and if someone either knows or figures out
your secret language, then your message can easily
be read.
PROPOSAL:
• In our document, I propose a new
system for hiding data stands on many
methods for image hiding where I store
on data file, called sink file in an image
file called as container image.
• The primary objective is to use
steganography techniques so as to
provide more security and
simultaneously using less storage.
