How to multiply decimals by whole numbers

Example:
*Ignore the decimal point in
1d.p both numbers.
3 x 0.4 = 1.2 *Multiply the two numbers.
3 x 0.4 = 0.4 + 0.4 +0.4 *Count the number of decimal
places in both numbers and
= 1.2 find their sum.
Find each of the following :- *The number of decimal
