DIFFERENT

DECK
MACHINERIES
The windlass is an apparatus for
moving heavy weights. Typically, a
windlass consists of a horizontal
cylinder, which is rotated by the turn
of a crank or belt. A winch is affixed
to one or both ends, and a cable or
rope is wound around the winch,
pulling a weight attached to the
opposite end.

Mooring Winch is a mechanical
device used for securing a ship to the
berth. An equipment with various
barrels used for pulling ropes or
cables, mooring winches play an
important role in berthing the ship
ashore.

Cargo Winch also be called as
lifting winch or heavy duty hoisting
winch, which is a motor-driven
hoisting machine for cargo having a
drum around which a chain or rope
winds as the load is lifted. It can be
designed with one or two drums
based on different application fields.
And this kind of winch normally be
used to a very important condition,
like in high speed rail construction,
mine mineral exploitation, heavy duty
crane lifting, bridge construction,
building trades, etc. CARGO WINCH

Ramp winch or Ramp door winches
are normally be used on Truck Ro-Ro
Ferry at sea or river for lifting or release
the ramp door. And two winches located
on the bow, then other two winches at
stern on the main deck. One ramp door be
controlled by two winches which be
working synchronous during throwing out
and pulling in lines to attach to docks or
undock. Also, there be another choice
that use only one winch to control a ramp
door instead, but the winch drum should
be separated with two parts and with two
individual pulling lines. The winches can
be powered by hydraulic motor or electric. RAMP DOOR WINCH
That means, there are hydraulic ramp
door winch and electric ramp door winch
optional to meet different needs.

The size and power of the anchor
winch depends on the weight and
length of the anchor and line it will
pull. Those criteria are based directly
on the size and weight of the boat.
Anchor mooring winch can play both
anchoring and mooring functions,
which is equivalent to the
combination of windlass and mooring
winch.

Capstan is a kind of small winch
used for mooring and anchoring on
the deck or on the shore. There are
different types of marine capstans to
choose from, including electric
capstan, hydraulic capstan, vertical
capstan, horizontal capstan, anchor
capstan, and mooring capstan.

Hydraulic winch is usually designed
with a large rated load, suitable for the
most demanding tasks on land and water.
This heavy-duty winch is usually used on
ships, shores and docks to perform many
different tasks. The winch is powered by
the hydraulic system, so it can transmit a
powerful force to handle a large amount
of work. When selecting winches for
marine applications, energy efficiency is
very important. Due to the size of
hydraulic system and equipment,
hydraulic winches are the best choice for
large ships. HYDRAULIC WINCH

An electric winch is a motorized
device used for lifting, pulling and
positioning of loads. It is typically
mounted to a vehicle's front or rear
bumper and is powered by direct
current electricity provided by the
vehicle's electrical system.
