When you want to write directions, you should write clearly
and use Some specific words to make your directions clear and
specific.

What are they?


Imperative verbs or (bossy verbs) are verbs which tell you what to do. They are
often seen at the beginning of a sentence and create a command.

Open, click, cook, mix, fold, stick are examples.

Paint a Rainbow Fish Using Only Three Colors Follow these instructions to
paint your own rainbow fish using only three colors.
First, Pour blue, yellow, and red paint on a plate. Get a water cup to rinse
your paintbrush. You should lay a sheet of white paper out in front of you.
Second, get a pencil and draw the outline of a fish. Now, take your
paintbrush and paint your first stripe on your rainbow fish. You will go in
order of the colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and
purple). Start with red. Then, Rinse your paintbrush. Next, you will need to
mix the red and yellow paint to make orange. Once you do this, paint the
orange stripe on your fish next to the red stripe. After that, rinse your
paintbrush. Paint a yellow stripe on your fish next to the orange stripe.
Rinse your paintbrush. Next, you will need to mix the blue and yellow paint
to make green. Once you do this, paint the green stripe on your fish next to
the yellow stripe. Rinse your paintbrush. Paint a blue stripe on your fish
next to the green stripe. Finally, for your last stripe, you will need to mix
the blue and red paint to make purple. Once you do this, paint a purple
strip on your fish next to the blue stripe. And now, you have created a
rainbow-striped fish using only three colors!
