‘School for Me Too’ – TZP foundation
TZP aims for social change by innovating and piloting model solutions
T2P foundation - 15 years - modern innovative solutions 'School for me too’
Over 60k children trained in 14 districts and introduced in government schools.
3 lakh disabled children(70k never received education, another 50k dropped out soon)
Lack of emotional motivation, disabled specific facilities.
TZP Foundation works closely with intergovernmental agencies such as SSA Karnataka,
Department of Public Education, Department for the Welfare of the Differently Abled and
Senior Citizens, Department of Women & Child Welfare

Challenges faced !!
1) The reason for low attendance by students with disability is transportation as travel
allowances do not cover entire fund and parents are usually daily wagers

2) Therapy for disabled students can not be follow up because as parents are daily wagers they
don't have time and energy.

3) Not have enough mechanism that students can be retained for higher education especially
for girl child.

What can we do?
1. Transportation Problem –
 Project supported by Collins Aerospace
 Help from International Accessibility Guidelines

2. Therapy Problem –
 Vidyaranya’s programs for children with special needs
 They provides 24/7 caretaker + support of special educators

3. Government Incentives –
 Midday meal to retain children & Connecting for fund raiser
 Spruthi Residential School for Mentally Challenged Children, started in 2002,
 Avakasha Residential School for Mentally Challenged Children, started in 2013
