1. CHILD
MISBEHAVIOUR
WHAT COMES TO OUR MIND WHEN WE
HEAR THE WORD “BEHAVIOUR”?

Basically, behaviour refers to the way in which

one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward
others. It is what a person does to make
something happen, to make something change
or to keep things the same. In other words it is a
response to things that are happening: internally
- thoughts and feelings. externally - the
environment, including other people.
WHAT IS CHILD
MISBEHAVIOUR?

 One basic understanding is that children

misbehave when they feel bored, tired, lonely,
angry etc.
 Children may misbehave because they have been
rewarded for the behavior. Every child needs to
be noticed. Sometimes the only way children can
get their busy parents' attention is to disobey. If
their parents give them attention for misbehaving
then that misbehaviour will increase.
 Child misbehaviour involves deliberate
disobedience to a reasonable limit.

confidence, empathy, the ability to develop
meaningful and lasting friendships and
partnerships, and a sense of importance and
value to those around him/her.
HOW CAN WE PREVENT CHILD
MISBEHAVIOURTHAT CAUSES
SOCIALIZATION ISSUE?

The most powerful motivation for change is

encouragement. If a child—or adult—
misbehaves out of discouragement, it follows
that the motive for misbehavior is removed
when he or she feels encouraged.
