Clergy Daughter's School Return to Roe Head to teach

After moving to Haworth, her mother

and eldest sisters died. Soon, her Aunt
moved to her father's help in order to
help him with them. They went sent to
clergy daughter's school, where the
discipline was harsh, the food awful and
the relationships unfair. These
memories are later found in Jane
Eyre, her fictional biography and most
famous novel.
FROM JANE EYRE
Work and Life   Charlotte's biography
In 1831, Charlotte was sent to Miss Wooler's School. A year later, she went back to home to reach her little sisters.

In 1835, she came back to Roe Head to start her teaching career, as she wanted to improve her family's life.

In 1842, Charlotte and Emily, her sister, went to Brussels to improve their French and acquire some German. There, she met Heger, a talented
teacher who found interest on her.

Brussels was key on Charlotte's studies and major career. She received a strict literary training, became aware of the resources of her own nature,
and gathered material that served her, in various shapes, for all her novels.

She got married on June 29th, 1854, with her father's friend.

Charlotte Brontë died in 1855.
