Zoos should be stopped

Save
animal's
rights
by Serene Jarmakani
Zoos, aquariums, and circuses violate
animal rights and should be shut down?

Zoos, aquariums and circuses are popular places where people visit the
animals. However, what people don’t know is that they hurt the animals
in these places. For example, in circuses to make the animals perform in
shows. They hurt them using painful tools. Also, in aquariums, chloride
and sulfate are used to keep tanks clean, causing the dolphin’s skin to peel
and seals to go blind.
Animals are kept in cages and made to perform tricks and
entertain audience. Yet they get rewarded with little tokens
and treats. If humans were to be treated the same way like
these animals, the human rights would be quickly
involved.
Why Zoos should be stopped

Most of the animals in the zoo, after being released

into the wild do not make it due to change of
environment and lack of experience like being able to
hunt for themselves and so on.
How can we help the animals in Zoos,
aquariums, and circuses?

• ask the local government to make animal protection law and

donate to animal rights organization.
• Visit animal reservations where animals roam free and are not
held captive instead of zoos where animals are imprisoned
• Report animal abuse in circuses and watch fish from boats in the
open sea instead of aquariums where the fish are caught and
forced to swim in a glass box.
Why we shouldn’t use animals for
entertainment?

• animals are not objects for people to use, they have their
own needs, and rights
• It may involve harshness during the show, brutality in the
way the animal is kept and transported
• violates the animal's right to live in freedom.
