Currency
• Currency is the is the physical paper notes and coins in circulation. It
is a fancy word for money.
• By accepting the currency, a merchant can sell his or her goods and
have a convenient way to pay their trading partners.
• There are other important benefits of currency too.
• The relatively small size of coins and dollar bills makes them easy to
transport.
• Each country has its own currency, with different names and looks.

Australian dollar
• The Australian dollar

• This is the currency of Australia, including

Cocos Islands, and Norfolk Island.
American dollar

• Pound sterling
