“Medius” or also known as middle/intervening.


Media has been associated with mass
communication, or forms of communication that are
able to disseminate information widely and
simultaneously to masses of people.

• The oldest form of communication.

NEW MEDIA
• Form of electronic communication that enables users to create
and share information, ideas, messages, and content via social
networking websites and applications. (Internet-based forms)

WHAT IS MEDIA?

“Medius” or also known as middle/intervening.


Media is the plural form of communication, which
refers to the storage and transmission of the
channels through which information is delivered.
It also refers to all print and electronic
communication.
WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?
Technology refers to methods, systems, and devices
from scientific knowledge used for practical purposes.
In other words, it is used to solve problems or gain
objectives. It can be either hardware- or software-based,
and it can use in various ways, such as to create, store,
or distribute information.

George Orwell started writing the dystopian novel


called 1984 (1949). One of the most striking aspects
of Orwell’s novel is his depiction of the
manipulative use of media technology to keep the
masses of people under control and surveillance.
