Introduction
What is ciproflxacin
Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic in the fluoroquinolone class.
It's commonly used to treat a variety of bacterial infections,
including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract
infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain types
of gastroenteritis. It works by inhibiting the DNA gyrase
enzyme, which is essential for bacterial DNA replication and
repair. It's available in various forms, such as tablets, oral
suspension, and intravenous solution. Remember to follow
your healthcare provider's instructions and finish the full
course of treatment, even if you start feeling better.
Use of ciproflxacin
Ciprofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which means that it's used to treat a number of
bacterial infections, such as:

Serious side effects
Very few people taking or using ciprofloxacin have serious side effects.

They are less likely to happen with the eye drops or ear drops.

These serious side effects can happen in less than 1 in 100 people. Stop taking ciprofloxacin

muscle weakness, pain or swelling in your joints or tendons. This often begins in the ankle or
calf, but could also be in your shoulder, arms or legs. It can happen in the first 2 days of taking
ciprofloxacin or even several months after stopping. It is more common in children

pain or abnormal sensations (such as pins and needles that do not go away, tingling, tickling,
numbness or burning) or weakness in your body, especially in your legs or arms
