PYAP COMMUNITY

PORTAL
CHAPTER 1
A Community Portal is a website that provides
information, knowledge articles, self-service modules,
and a dedicated place for discussion. It could also be
developed as a mobile application. These dedicated
online communities serve as a way to educate, engage,
and notify audience members. Content on a community
portal should be regularly updated and contribute to
the knowledge base of the community. (Kazmi, 2022)
In conclusion, Pag-asa Youth Association of the
Philippines or PYAP Community Portal is a community
portal that provides youth members, out-of-school youth
and other personnel of Victorias City an efficient and
convenient online process. It aims to create a new youth
experience in which they could easily apply for PYAP
organizations without leaving their homes and have easy
access through online that would help people learn about
the organization.
PROJECT CONTEXT
The concern of this project is to assist Victorias City's youth
organization, out-of-school youth, PYAP members and CSWDO personnel by
creating a portal that is accessible through an online web-based platform.
This portal intent to enhance and improve inquiring information and
utilization. The respondents will be the out-of-school youth and youth
members. Each barangay can inquire, however, limits to 15 to 24 years old.
In addition, this portal can benefit them and those who are in charge of this
organization for easier and faster acquiring of information. This project will
last one year and nine months and will be carried out within Victorias City.
All announcements will be visible in this page if you use this portal. This
online platform can help the community to address problems in terms of
applying and obtaining information in PYAP organization.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION
This capstone project entitled “PYAP Community Portal” is

focused on development and implementation of a web-based that

will be implemented for those who are in charge in PYAP

organization. Only the process of membership, announcement,

activities, programs and other information about PYAP are covered

in this project .
PROJECT AND DESCRIPTION

This project, entitled "PYAP Community Portal"


aims to create a gateway for out-of-school youths,
PYAP members and CSWDO personnel where they
may register, view any announcements,
programs, and social activities, as well as those
who are involved in PYAP organization.
The Out-of School Youth:

This project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of a PYAP

Community Portal where they can register easily without

applying their applications in barangay hall and stay

informed of any announcements, programs, and upcoming

activities where they can benefit trainings and many more.


The CSWDO Personnel:

To monitor the portal, members who registered

and post any updates, programs, or activities for

the PYAP Community.


The PYAP Members:

To access the portal for them to be aware of

any program, updates and upcoming activities.


OBJECTIVES

This capstone project entitled "PYAP


Community Portal" aims to provide an online
web based to develop a computerized portal
for out-of school youths, PYAP members and
CSWDO personnel.
Specifically, this capstone project aims to:

1. To determine the feasibility of implementing a web-based for all

the out-of school youths and PYAP members of Victorias City.

2. To develop the system requirement or specifications based on the

approved web-based of the PYAP organizations as used by the out-

of school youth, CSWDO personnel and PYAP member.

3. To develop strategies in maintaining the implemented

software and system.


4. To provide an easier and faster way for PYAP members to

know any updates of the organizations.

5. To develop a web-based system for a better accessibility

for out-of-school youths, members and other personnel of

PYAP organization.

6. To assist new and inquiring members with regards on the

process of membership and specifications.
