Therma Power-
Visayas, Inc.
(TPVI)
• In Barangay Colon, Naga City, Cebu, there is a diesel power plant
called Therma Power-Visayas, Inc. (TPVI). The facility covers 14.41 of
the 20 hectares of the diesel-coal complex, which has a combined
capacity of 153.1 MW. On July 16, 2018, AboitizPower, through TPVI,
acquired the Naga Power Plant Complex from its previous operator,
Salcon Power Corporation. Since 2019, TPVI has been in charge of the
site's rehabilitation and maintenance work to bring it back to full
operation. Six diesel engine units with a combined rated capacity of
7.43 MW are now in operation. TPVI's initiatives to improve plant
operations have given the Visayas grid stable access to ancillary
services.

(TPC)

• Toledo Power Co. (TPC) is a company based in Toledo City, Cebu, that
owns and runs two coal-fired power facilities totaling 60 MW and 82
MW in Daanlungsod, as well as a 40 MW diesel-fired power plant in
Carmen.
• TPC first appeared in the 1960s as Atlas Consolidated Mining and
Development Corporation's (ACMDC) power plant. Today, TPC plays a
significant role in developing the mining and shipbuilding sectors of
the economy in Western Cebu.

PLANT
• The Philippine Board of Investment (BOI) conducted a site
visit in Sunwest Water and Electric Company 2’s
(SUWECO 2) 8MW Villasiga Mini Hydroelectric Power
Plant located in Brgy. Igsoro, Bugasong, Antique

• The power plant was first registered in 2010 and


established in 2016. It provides affordable electricity to the
locals of Bugasong, Antique, and has a capacity of 8
megawatts, which can accommodate an estimated of 8,000
homes in a year. SUWECO’s vision and mission is to be
the leading developer of renewal energy, especially in the
grid areas of the country.

• Established in 2003 to develop renewable sources of
energy and pursue clean and energy efficient projects

• Present focus in wind energy, particularly in Western


Visayas and Northern Luzon.

They will also add an another 40 megawatts(MW) of


capacity for Guimaras wind farm which is 2MW per
tower in a total of 20 towers, currently they operates a
54 MW wind farm in San Lorenzo, Guimaras.

• operates a 50 MW bunker oil-fired power plant within the Mactan
Export Processing Zone I in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

• AboitizPower fully acquired EAUC in 2017 after over a decade of holding


50 percent shares in the group since April 2007. Prior to the ownership,
EAUC was incorporated on February 18, 1993, as a subsidiary of El Paso
Philippines Energy Co. Inc. (EPPECI).

• Together with the Cebu Private Power Corporation (CPPC), EAUC started
supplying power through the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM)
on December 26, 2010.
• Operates a 50 MW bunker oil-fired power plant within the Mactan Export Processing Zone in Lapu-
Lapu City, Cebu.

Aboits Power fully acquired EAUC in 2017 after over a decade of holding 50% shares in the group
prior to the ownership EAUC was incorporated as a subsidiary of EL Paso Philippines Energy Co. Inc.

Together with the Cebu Private Power Corporation (CPPC), EAUX started supplying power through
the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) on December 26, 2010.
