Our Vision

Glorify God. Make Disciples

11
When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar
the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out
from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him
and comfort him. 12 When they saw him from a distance, they could hardly
recognize him; they began to weep aloud, and they tore their robes and sprinkled
dust on their heads. 13 Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and
seven nights. No one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering
was.

you toss me about in the storm.

Three usual Responses when we
are faced with troubles;
1.We concerned ourselves of what others may say.
2.We concerned ourselves of what we feel.
3.We concerned ourselves of what God would do.
We concerned ourselves of what others
may say.
9
“And now those young men mock me in song;
I have become a byword among them.
10
They detest me and keep their distance;
they do not hesitate to spit in my face.
Job 30:9-10New International Version
We concerned ourselves of what we feel.

28
I go about blackened, but not by the sun;
I stand up in the assembly and cry for help.
29
I have become a brother of jackals,
a companion of owls.
30
My skin grows black and peels;
my body burns with fever.
Job 30:28-29New International Version
We concerned ourselves of what God
would do.
20
“I cry out to you, God, but you do not answer;
I stand up, but you merely look at me.
21
You turn on me ruthlessly;
with the might of your hand you attack me.
22
You snatch me up and drive me before the wind;
you toss me about in the storm.
Job 30:20-22New International Version
When no seems to be permanent, it
reminds us that;
1. There are questions in life that will remain unanswered.
2. Regardless of what we feel, God is with us.
3. Some suffering lasts for a time but not permanent.
Mysteries of Life
1. There are questions in life that will remain unanswered.
2. There are things in life we can never explain.
3. There are things in life you can never change.
4. There are things in life you cannot control.
5. There are things in life you cannot stop.
6. There are things in life you are not responsible for.
7. There are things in life you cannot exceed.
Regardless of what we feel,
God is with us.
1. There are things only God can do.
2. There are things only God knows.
3. There are things only God understands.
4. There are things only God can explain.
Some suffering lasts for a time
but not permanent.
1. Do not decide permanently on a temporary
problem.
2. Live life in seasons.
3. Remember storms pass yet it never last.
Therefore, when no seems to be permanent,
you have to;
1.Set your confidence in what God has already said.
2.Be still and know that He is still God.
3.Stay strong and faithful to God.
Set your confidence in what God has
already said.
1.Know Him thru his word.
2.Trust Him thru the pain.
3.Be led by his word.
But he knows the way that I take;
10

when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

Job 23:10 New International Version
Be still and know that He is still
God.
38 Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:
2
“Who is this that obscures my plans
with words without knowledge?
3
Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.
4
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
5
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Job 38:1-5 New International Version
Stay strong and faithful to God.
42 Then Job replied to the LORD:
2
“I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3
You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
4
“You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5
My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6
Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”
Job 42 New International Version
We live in an amazing world
that is not designed to
prevent suffering.
