LAYOUT BACKGROUND WWTP

BACKGROUND

One of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) which is working

on the WWTP (Waste Water Treatmant Plant) located in Purwakarta. In this
work planned for 192 days starting from May 2022 to January 2023, but still
running 31.6%. WWTP work is happening delays in pipe construction work
(Carbon Steel, FRP, PPH). due to lack of manpower and materials used for
piping work experienced delays in the fabrication and shipment processes
which caused delays in hydrotest work. With this delay, the owner and the
contractor has made an agreement to extend the duration of work for 5 month
that must be completed in May 2023 with a penalty of 0.1% of the daily
contract value. The method used in this research is Crashing method to
accelerate the scheduling. And What If Analysis method to anticipate project
delays and catch up activities that should have been completed on time by
adding working hours or the number of workers.

PROBLEM & PURPOSE

PROBLEM
1 What is the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for a Waste Water
Treatment Plant piping system development project?

2 How is work productivity calculated in a Waste Water Treatment

Plant piping system construction project?

3 How does the accelerated duration of the construction of the Waste

Water Treatment Plant piping system affect the critical path and
network planning using the What If Analysis and Crashing methods?
PROBLEM
4 What is the calculation of the costs incurred before and
after the acceleration of the duration of the project?

How is the S-Curve analysis after being optimized with

5 the method
Crashing and What If Analysis?
PURPOSE
1 Determine the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in the
Waste Water Treatment Plant piping system
development project.

2 Determine the calculation of work productivity in the

Waste Water Treatment Plant piping system
development project.

3 Analyze the effect of accelerating the construction duration of

the Waste Water Treatment Plant piping system on critical
paths and network planning using the Crashing and What If
Analysis methods.
PURPOSE
4 Calculating the amount of costs incurred before and
after the accelerated duration of project work.

5 Analyze the comparison of the S-Curve when it has been

optimized using the Crashing and What If Analysis methods
