Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
Worship
• is to acknowledge that God is the King and results in living lives in light of that truth.
• Homage or grateful submissions to God
John 4 : 23 – 24
23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit
and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship
him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
We always worship God in spirit but there are times when we are led by the spirit of God
To say that we must worship God in “spirit” means that the worship should originate from
within, from the heart, it must be sincere, motivated by our love for God and gratitude for all He
is and has done.
WHY DO WE PRAISE THE LORD
Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 23 For the
children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and
destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to
destroy another
• There will be huge earthquakes
• There is opening of doors
• Enemies get confused
• People will get saved
• Apologies from the same people
Benediction
25
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious
unto thee:
26
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee
peace. Numbers 6:24-26
